JAVA HOUSE

ARCHITECTURE

The exterior design of the Java House reflects a subtle combination between a vernacular style and a modern architectural expression, that is reflected in its detailing and material selection. The elements of glass, stainless steel, natural stones and Java Teak wood fuses together in complimentary harmony.

The Java Teak wood is used for the screens, doors and ceiling panels to add warmth to the colour palette of the façade design. The punctured aperture in the 45-degree pitched roof allows natural daylight to filter into the roof terrace area, whilst providing ample shade to the internal rooms at the attic.
